Sharing, Drilling Down via XML and its Relatives
“Sure I want to keep on top of key trends and alerts on technical topics. Nobody wants to look like their out-of-step with what is going on, but I just can’t spend all day surfing the web to find this stuff. How do other folks seem to get their news so fast?”
Getting the right balance of staying informed versus keeping focused on your day-time job can be a challenge. Fortunately Emerson’s Jim Cahill may be able to point to the solution. In a recent editorial in Automation World magazine, “Sharing, Drilling Down via XML and its Relatives (263KB PDF),” a few tips on staying current with key trends via RSS (really simple subscription) technology were presented. Jim points out that you can download a RSS starter Kit at EasyDeltaV.com/RSSkit/ and begin having some of your key alerts delivered directly to a web page you manage. You get what you want as soon as it is published and all in one spot.
